It's sort of impossible to review this because it's an anthology of 200 writers and a mix of all genres and forms imaginable - memoir, letters, plays, short stories, extracts from novels, speeches, poetry and essays. I've been reading it gradually over two months and it's a brilliant collection. There were many pieces I loved and it's a great way of discovering new authors. I kept a list of names as I went and now I'm going to look up their other work.
