Predictable but a good time

I feel like I’ve been reading a lot of books like this lately. By that I mean author’s throwing everything and the kitchen sink into a story and just seeing what appeal to the reader. This story is very cluttered to me and I feel like a lot of it could have been removed and replaced with better character development and interactions. Was it really necessary to have 2 characters both get their homes broken into and 2 people go to the data center to steal data and to have to steal the tapes/records etc so many times? And like many tech companies, this company doesn’t have good tech. Some parts were really tedious and not worth that number of pages. Also Larry (glass blowing coworker) was so annoying. One other note, the narrator speaking as the Somali neighbor was so ridiculous it sounded like someone who was part Irish.

DNF @ 33%

Billed as a thriller but it was giving romance (what Sarina Bowen normally writes). I kept referring to the characters as the FMC and MMC in my head. 😅

The premise was really intriguing but I wanted a bit more action — preferably banging, although I would have accepted a car chase as well. Not terrible but my interest was waning so it was time to DNF.

Meh

It took forever to get through this. A lot of brushing the kids teeth. And by that I mean a lot of filler. I would not recommend.

This book was a snoozefest for the first 300 pages. Literally. I couldn't read more than 20 pages without falling asleep. It just didn't hold my interest. There was so much technical talk about cameras and networking and servers as well as a ton of named characters whom I could not keep straight. The book seemed to be 100 pages too long. There was a lot of repetition and I just didnt find the story all that interesting. The ending was slightly redeeming but by then, I just wanted it to end.
