Why are people sitting on this series?! It's so good! It doesn't fit into the first stereotype of a fantasy YA like so many do. Yes there is a romantic interest (or is there?) but it all feels not forced and isn't the big part of the story. I just love these so much ugh.

I thought that was a duology so I'm a bit pissed at myself, but I need more of Kasta in my life, so I will wait and hope we will get book 3!!!

Reread this, one of my favorite books of all time, Zahru’s character development is so well written and I love Kasta ofc. Natalie Mae is an author who is willing to take risks and I love her for that

OKAY wait this book took me on a rollercoaster of emotion.
I almost refused to finish the book because
i could just TELL she was gonna fall in love with kasta instead of jet, and kasta is high key like a murderer?? but oh my goodness the writing of the character development was so good,  i was constantly questioning what i even thought the right thing to do is and wondering who the antagonist even really is?? and when they KISSED OMG it gave me butterflies.

I’m not usually into morally grey characters but this was just done so well. i was on the edge of my seat the whole time. i can’t wait to read the final book.

This seemed to be more character-driven than the first book, so it wasn’t as fast paced, but that does not mean it was bad. The ending of this book was very intriguing and I wonder if there is the possibility of another book in the series.

The sequel to kinder poison, Zahru is now marked with the symbol of mestrah. And so is Kasta. Now they have to work together. But will kasta betray them again? Lacks a concrete plot.

4.5 ⭐️’s. I liked her personality more in this one. It’s great for my middle schoolers. A little boring for me at times. Interesting ending though!
