A mash up of Two of my favorite worlds YES PLEASE. This has tender parts and violent parts and scary bits but also sweet ones as well it’s very well rounded and I thoroughly enjoyed it!

I love the Locke & Key universe, so reading this collection of stories from the "Golden Age" was a must. I had already read the Small World one, but the others were new to me.
One takes place in the Sandman universe (Neil Gaiman) which was fine. I tried reading the Sandman series but didn't care for it much. I think I only made it to the second volume.
Overall, this Locke & Key collection was enjoyable.

In the last year I have watched [b:The Sandman Vol. 1: Preludes & Nocturnes|23754|The Sandman Vol. 1 Preludes & Nocturnes|Neil Gaiman|https://i.gr-assets.com/images/S/compressed.photo.goodreads.com/books/1411609637l/23754._SY75_.jpg|1228437] series on Netflix three times. I have loved that series, in installments, since it was first published, and this is a love letter to that series. Clearly [a:Joe Hill|88506|Joe Hill|https://images.gr-assets.com/authors/1569331514p2/88506.jpg] and [a:Gabriel Rodríguez|2751991|Gabriel Rodríguez|https://images.gr-assets.com/authors/1395619222p2/2751991.jpg] loved it too!

I have been a [a:Gabriel Rodríguez|2751991|Gabriel Rodríguez|https://images.gr-assets.com/authors/1395619222p2/2751991.jpg] fan since the first page of [b:Locke & Key, Volume 1: Welcome to Lovecraft|3217221|Locke & Key, Volume 1 Welcome to Lovecraft|Joe Hill|https://i.gr-assets.com/images/S/compressed.photo.goodreads.com/books/1377304780l/3217221._SY75_.jpg|3251160], and a fan of [a:Joe Hill|88506|Joe Hill|https://images.gr-assets.com/authors/1569331514p2/88506.jpg] since [b:Heart-Shaped Box|153025|Heart-Shaped Box|Joe Hill|https://i.gr-assets.com/images/S/compressed.photo.goodreads.com/books/1328043955l/153025._SY75_.jpg|1412280]. I collect everything they have ever touched, have signed copies of almost everything and numerous [a:Gabriel Rodríguez|2751991|Gabriel Rodríguez|https://images.gr-assets.com/authors/1395619222p2/2751991.jpg] prints hang on my walls. I need a signed copy of this.

They perfectly meld the Locke family with the Endless. Hill writes it perfectly, and Rodriguez illustrates it perfectly. I just don't see how anyone could do it better!

A return to Key House and the stories of the Locke family in the 20th century. This time there's a mix of another world, the Sandman universe. These stories are a great back story of what the keys could do if in the wrong hands and more. Great coming back to Key House, yet there are so many woes in the Locke's lives.
