Too short. I wanted more. A bit anti climactic in the end. Otherwise delightful and fun!!!

That was hot, fun, and romantic.
At the heart of the story are the compelling characters Merritt Sterling and Keir MacRae. Merritt is a fiercely independent and intelligent woman, determined to defy societal norms and carve her path in life. Keir MacRae, on the other hand, is a charming and enigmatic rogue with a troubled past. Their initial encounter sets the stage for a tempestuous relationship filled with passion, wit, and undeniable chemistry. I laughed, swooned, and fanned myself once or twice. It's also a tale of redemption and second chances. Merritt and Keir are haunted by their pasts, and their journey toward healing and forgiveness is uplifting.

Creo que le pongo 3 estrellas por los personajes de las wallflowers, pero lo que sucedió no me gustó mucho.

I have no memory of this place… I just finished rereading Devil in Winter and remembered this series existed, but I’d completely forgotten what happened in this book til I saw the book names, so now, after reading one of my favorite Lisa Kleypas couples, I’m mad at myself for remembering this

This was just a historical with all the bonkers plot points. Instant lust, amnesia, major fire and injuries, hidden identity, etc. it was a lot!

Enjoyable

I enjoyed this story. The heroine was quite independent minded for a period piece. There is a lot of action throughout the book, since there is an assassin on the loose. I enjoyed the relationship amongst all of the characters
