After the first book in this series, I was unsure about it. But these past two books have been SO GOOD! Kingston really is the most perfect boyfriend, he is the boy you bring home to meet your parents! Him and Queenie balance each other out so well, his put together life style with her craziness is perfect!

This series feels like it's happening in real time because the NHL team that the boys are in, is also a new team that is just starting out this year in real life!

If you're looking for a hockey romance series, would definitely recommend this one!!

Kingston and Queenie are so cute together. Total opposites but that works for them. He’s a follow the rules, milk drinking hockey player, she’s a wild one with some past issues. Loved their stories and how they fit together. Kingston is what Queenie needed to help her not believe everything some have told her.

Loved King and Queenie 2 totally different people who complimented each other and made an absolutely amazing couple. My favorite couple of the series, loved them and this book. A must read!!

I am really loving this series. Kingston and Queenie were so sweet and adorable together.

This starts out with a one night stand. Kingston learns some crazy news about his family and is out drinking where he meets Queenie. The drink together and spill some secrets. They hook up that night, but Queenie left without giving him her phone number.

Queenie is taking a job working for her dad, who happens to be the general manager for Kingstons hockey team. They decide to be friends since her dad didn't want her to date any of the hockey players. They obviously can't stay away from eachother.

Kingston was so perfect and dreamy. I loved how he balanced out her crazy. He helped Queenie pursue her real dreams and pushed her to believe in herself.

I actually read Little Lies a long time ago before this series. That has Lavender and Kodiak's romance, which is the next generation. Seeing Lavender as a little kid really made me want to reread it again.

Ugh, honestly was really disappointed with this book. It had a really strong start and I loved both mcs and their relationship. I would've rated this a 4/5 if not for everything that happened from the middle with all the OM and OW drama. It was just really frustrating and put a damper on my enjoyment of the book. Had there have only been one or the other or the drama been written in a less infuriating way I wouldn't have been so annoyed. Not only that, Kingston's family was also just so annoying and I hated the whole scene with them.

A Secret for a Secret: ★ ★ ★ . 5

Helena Hunting

The ultimate good guy Ryan Kingston doesn't ever do one night stands but the one time he does, it happens to be the General Manager of his NHL team's daughter.

Let it be known that Ryan Kingston is literally, 100%, without a single doubt the sweetest man I have ever read in my entire life. Since the last book, I was so intrigued by King and his milk-loving self because it was the cutest, most wholesome thing in the entire world. I absolutely love him and would move the stars, the moon, and everything I possibly could for this adorable man. He is also a freak in the sheets and we love him for it. Jason Clarke narrates him and he is soooo delicious; it's not even funny. I personally do not think there will be anyone who is good enough for him.

Queenie has not had an easy life and I respect her grind and the way she wants to get her life together, despite all the setbacks she has gone through. I like how she doesn't like her failures hold her back. At times, I would get so frustrated with her because she kept pushing King away but it just made me love him even more.

The plot of this book–the conflict–is not one of my favorite tropes
Spoiler because she was previously married to a loser
but once again, all it did was make me love King even more because he was so wonderful and supportive and such an angel who I want to love forever. At times, the book was a little cheesy, but it's still cute.
Spoiler I also don't think the additional drama with his ex showing up was necessary, and it was so infuriating because Queenie was irritating in this scene and I literally was so irked because he was there for her through everything and she just dipped running away like GIRL stop.

Lavender is so cute and I really want a book for her. She's the most adorable little thing and her relationship with Queenie is one of the highlights of this book. I also know the next book is single dad Jake's and I'm pretty excited for it (he is also narrated by Jacob Morgan so I am here for this).

This one was ~fine~.

List of thoughts:
- Apparently I have zero interest in the "Good guy who is secretly dirty in bed". I'm not sure what that says about me that I'd rather have the asshole-with-a-heart-of-gold over a #GoodGuy but I don't reeaaalllyyy feel the need to analyse that further.
- I didn't really care about Queenie. I liked her in concept i guess and I like her art therapy thing, but other then that I was kinda meh
- There were a LOT of weird heart-to-hearts and extrapolations in this book
- Cared a lot more about all the side characters and side plots in this one
- HATED all the "My Queen, My King" shit. makes me want to gag
- Sex scenes were weird in this one. it was like they didn't really feel like being descriptive at all and just decided to be like "And orgasms" and you're like "okay i guess"
- I dunno man, it was just fine.
