Sweet lord. This author just gets better and better with every book. This one however, was my favorite which says a lot since her duet gutted me. This one has her typical characters that were multi-faceted and endearing but there was also something so endearing in watching two characters take the risk of falling after being so destroyed from before. I loved seeing a man portrayed as a feminist and in love with the notion of all things romance. Even as a romantic he still had serious swag. I loved seeing a woman who was all woman but also so avid of a sports fan. I loved seeing her vulnerable side with her compulsions and need for control. Bottom line, I just loved this book. Add in the steam and humor and sweet holy titfire it was perfection.

I loved this story. I loved how parts of it gave me butterflies. I feel like I cried through most of it because it was sweet how much he loved her. I do wish there had been more “fluff” of things happening outside of just work, the games and then spending time together but it made it an easy and quick read.

Ok, cette romance était adorable! J’ai adoré les personnages et la tension entre les deux. Zach est tout simplement parfait. C’était mon premier roman de Kandi Steiner et c’est une belle découverte !

The Wrong Game was such a pleasant surprise! When I first read the synopsis for this book, I was really interested by the unique storyline, but nothing could have prepared me for the heart-warming feelings it gave me. Kandi Steiner crafted a beautiful story with a swoon-worthy hero, a sassy heroine, amusing banters, hotness and feels! In other words: the perfect story!
Zach is the most romantic hero! He’s charismatic, thoughtful, sexy and I fell easily under his charm. I enjoyed his witty conversations with Gemma. He’s this sexy guy on the exterior, but his irresistible personality is even more appealing. All read long, he stole my smiles and my laughs. It was so nice to meet a hero that isn’t afraid of his feelings and embrace them. He knows Gemma’s been hurt so he’s careful with her, but he also feels she’s a special woman and can’t let her go when she pushes him away! I can’t say how many time I totally swooned over his sweet gestures! Seriously, he’s that attractive on all levels!
Meeting Zach wasn’t in the plans for Gemma, the sassy Chicago Bears fan! Still suffering from her last relationship, Gemma swore off love! She’s on a mission to invite a new guy to every Bears home game, but Zack disturbs her plan with his “practice” date where they experience a tangible connection! Their chemistry is absolutely off the charts! Every single time together was amazing to witness. My heart felt so full seeing their feelings grow to something so lovely!
Kandi Steiner has a true talent for bringing the emotions to high peaks. While this story is on the funnier side, she still succeeds in capturing poignant feelings that got to me! Gemma and Zach both have difficult events of their past that hurt them! Together they just fit so well and learn to trust and heal together!
The Wrong Game is just everything you want to experience in a romance novel; the heart fluttering feelings of new love, the amusing repartees, the chuckles between friends and hot sensual interludes! Zach Bowen will steal your heart for sure and Gemma will certainly touch you with her sensible side, but also determined attitude! Go grab this novel, you won’t regret it!
