Oooph. I didn’t connect with the characters enough. There was no investment for me. I actually found myself skipping through pages to jump ahead, later realizing that nothing happened enough to even warrant back tracking. - not a good sign for the plot.
Even when the climax hit with meeting her ex-mother in law… which is such a shame because there were some super cute and great moments throughout the first 45% of the book. Then it just fell flat.
This one wasn’t for me but I’m not gonna give up on the author. I def will pick up another book to see if this was just a fluke.
If you’re looking for spice tho. This one has a few goods ones!

This book was really cute. I loved Zach, he was amazing. I liked him with and for Gemma, but Gemma drove me nuts most of the time. I still really liked this one, but for me it was Zach that made this book.

The Wrong Game is a great sports romance! Perfect for football fans and those of us who just like sports romance without understanding all the particulars of the game.

The first sports romance by Kandi Steiner, this is the beginning of the end. I will officially be listening to every dang one before this year is over. I’m obsessed with her writing.
She has the most beautiful way of writing love stories. It makes me swoon every dang time. I’m obsessed. And her MMC are always dreamy as hell. Zach Bowen is no different.
Who doesn’t love a man who is a hopeless romantic. Who loves his family and makes his world revolve around them and the one he’s interested in. I couldn’t get enough of it.
This story is heartbreaking and beautiful all at the same time. The ending was what they both deserved and I wish I could listen to it all over again for the first time.
