Cute light fun sports read. I found myself falling in love with Zach

i liked this book a lot. i didn’t totally love it. i gotta say that at times the main girl gemma annoyed me. but i appreciated how real this book was about how hard it is to fall in love again after being burned so badly and the anxiety/ocd rep. sometimes it felt like the book dragged and was missing a little more of a plot, but i did enjoy it and i’m glad i finally read this novel after having it on my tbr for so long. i’ll definitely be checking out some more kandi steiner novels<3

Eh, it was entertaining enough at first but it lost my interest by the end. I almost DNFed, but decided to finish and feel indifferent about it now.

A very fun read, great for sports romance lovers. It was sexy, hilarious and emotional. Gemma and Zach have great chemistry and lots of good banter.

I liked this for the most part. It was cute and Zach is probably one of my favorite male characters ever written. But, it was a little slow - I skimmed through several parts and then there was the main conflict point that I don't understand...
Spoiler ahead ...
The dead husband writes two identical letters - but then leaves them in the same spot - if his wife didn't know about the other woman - why and how would she know to give that woman the letter after he died? I could not get past that.

ARC kindly received in exchange for an honest review.

I liked the characters in this book, although I didn’t connect with them too much. I thought Zach was a really sweet and supportive and swoon worthy male lead. He wasn’t arrogant or rude or any of the things that male leads in romance novels can sometimes be.

Gemma has been through a lot and I could understand her reservations and thoughts about moving forward with her life, and potentially dating someone. Whilst I couldn’t completely connect with her, I could definitely understand it.

I really liked Belle as a secondary character (Gemma’s best friend) and I would definitely love to see her get her own book and HEA.

I also liked the Gemma and Zach were both down to earth characters and just enjoyed spending time together doing simple things such as watching the football, as well as exploring and conquering new things together.

My only really complaint is that I felt this dragged a little too much, but I’ve had a lot going on so that could just be affecting my reading thoughts.

All in all a really sweet read.
