Decent little pseudo-historical romance book, with a feisty warrior maid as the female lead. It's all pretty unlikely stuff, and I didn't much warm to the male lead, as he did some creepy stuff, but there's a perplexing amount of creepy male behaviour in romance novels in general, and in nominally historical ones in particular.
(I keep qualifying the 'historical' part because this is nonsense from a history perspective.)

hero/heroine fight love at first sight. both are beautiful, strong.
DNF. Boring and pointless.

Simple trashy historical romance that i can't help feeling that i've read before. Similar theme to another perhaps?

I'm going to stand up for this book. People most assuredly did not act, in the medieval times, the way people act and respond to life today. Some of the reviews for this book speak of rape and voyeurism. I didn't view anything negative in this book regarding those allegations. I applauded our heroine for her strength and enjoyed the plot and characters. I will be reading the two remaining books in the series. Not the best medieval romance I have ever read, but it is FAR from being the worst. I liked it.
