Painful. If you like the style of late night infomercials, are a victim to those big evil people who charge you fees, and are looking for investments that are so low risk and easy you'd be a fool not to buy them, then this book is for you.

He's not wrong in everything he promotes (benefits of asset allocation, diversification, dollar cost averaging, controlling your emotions) but his investment conclusions are full of omissions.

I would like back into my life the time I spent reading this very long infomercial.

A little long for what it is, but chock full of great advice. Read I Will Teach You to be Rich first. I read the whole thing in Tony Robbins' voice.

I just couldn't finish it... too much of "and we'll teach you about this in chapter 46.22 so just keep reading". I was listening to the audio, and normally I can handle a long book, but I am only on disc 4 of 18 and just can't handle another 14 discs of this. Also if I had a dollar for every name-drop, I'd be rich by the end of this book.

Sure, some of it seems like good advice, but I really just can't take anymore.

I haven't read any other Tony Robbins stuff, but the rah-rah spammy sale pitch-y voice in this book is not my cup of tea. There's some good info, but probably 100 pages worth, the other 500 are superfluous.

I really had no intention of reading the whole book once I started... but finished it all in two days. Also, I found it difficult to rate as a lot of stuff was worth jotting down.. although the book could've been half the length. Many parts can be skimmed over. In summary, be cheap and save your money instead of being a victim to consumerism. Don't use mutual funds and other investments that require high fees. Avoid taxes like the plague. Diversify. Buy when everyone is freaking out, and sell when everyone is feeling euphoria. Anticipate trends. Be lucky. Give, and give, and give. But honestly, if you want to be wealthier for your future/retirement both in your wallet and mind... this isn't a horrible book to start with.
