Fun and easy, quick read. It follows the same equation as other Ali Hazelwood's books - predictable romances where it's clear the guy likes the girl way before she's aware of it with a nice little dose of awkward (in the best way) smut.

I think partly this doesn't get more stars from me is because it's a novella and I wanted more of Liam and Mara. But honestly, the story is basically the same as Love on the Brain without the added drama so that's partly why too!

I enjoyed and if you've liked Ali Hazelwood's books this is deffo worth a read but it's nothing groundbreaking!

Fast paced, appealing characters, good chemistry. Protagonist is engineering smart but socially a biiit dense, in a believable way.  Way before anything happens in the bedroom, it's very clear they're both into each other, and they have a fun dynamic.
Romance wise - There's clear signs of the characters trying to read that the other is ok with what's going on and when it comes to sex acts they confirm consent multiple times.

Comfortable and fun to read, good for if you're tired of books with ambiguous consent.
