This was quite the journey, and I was glued to it the whole time!

As I started to reach the end though, I started to wonder if we were ever going to reach the climax… and it felt a little rushed in the end. That’s my only critique (that I can think of right now).

 

I liked the man vs. nature and man vs. machine dynamics that were woven throughout the plot. Additionally, I had a very fun time putting myself into the shoes of the survivors and wondering where I would fall if I were in this situation —

especially in regard to the extreme human experimentation that was occurring.

In the end, there were some gaps, some aspects when I really had to suspend my disbelief, and some questions left unanswered. But I still enjoyed the read overall.
