Cold People explores the challenges faced by the world’s survivors as they establish a perilous new colony in extreme conditions.
At the centre of the new world are a young couple thrown together by chance.
I was intrigued by the premise and exploration of survival, human resilience, integration of new technology and dystopian themes.
Unfortunately, the character development was very minimal and the issues are presented in a wide angle lens. When the couple have a genetically modified child - destined perhaps to save the colony? - I was out.
