I can't get enough of Agatha Raisin running around the English country side solving crimes!

I didn't realize this was the 27th book in a series. Probably explains why I couldn't for the life of me pay attention for more than a few minutes. It felt like I should like it, and the narrator was good, but I just couldn't get into it and it ruined my streak I had going. Quitting halfway through.

The Agatha Raisin books are a guilty please of mine. They are gentle mysteries akin to the kind of stuff you get on the BBC in early afternoon in that Poirot, Father Dowling, Miss Marple slot. These are easy enjoyable books for passing a lazy afternoon.

In Pushing Up Daisies we see Agatha and her friend, Sir Charles Fraith, tackling Lord Bellington on his plans to build on estate land and expand the village. It’s by no means the best in the series but it does reflect the nimbyism often found in village life.
