After seeing One By One on booktok, the hype surrounding it made it impossible for me not to read. The book, two person point of view, starts of awfully slow going back and forth on the same topics. It isn’t until the middle of the book that it starts to pick up with suspense. A very “Who Done It” with twists I did not see coming whatsoever. By the end of One By One I was happy to stick it out and finish. Although I will say it’s not nearly as suspenseful as it was hyped up to be, but none the less a good book to read.

Ruth War could be a modern Agatha Christie. One By One is engaging and exciting. The mystery unravels slowly, building tension and suspense as you try to figure out who could be the culprit. An exciting ending left me craving more, so I dove deeper into Ruth’s bibliography!
