I love Lucy Score's writing and books in general, but I had to fight through some of the parts of this book. I feel like most of the issues were wrapped up really quickly and didn't really see growth as a result. Love Dom he's just a pretty, rich boy with Daddy issues who's a simp for Ally and, honestly, it's what she deserves. Check tws and cws!

I actually really enjoyed this book. It didn’t start great. But once she started working at Label it picked up and I thought it was really good.
The mmc was actually really sweet - I mean, he adopted a rescue dog, did everything he could to try to make sure she was taking care of herself (I always love when guys check in to make sure she’s eating enough), and tried to help out with her financial situation even before he knew what was going on. Given, the strip club part probably wasn’t the best way to go about doing it, but…
He was a bit overbearing at times and I totally understand why the fmc would get frustrated about not feeling like he was listening or being fair to her. She was a little frustrating in some of her actions, like when you’re that desperate and you have friends who are willing to give you a loan or help you out, and the consequences are what they were, it’s time to put your pride aside as much as it would suck.
Anyways, this was probably one of my favourite romances I’ve read this year. It was not without its flaws but I really enjoyed it.

Another home run! I’m a big fan of Lucy Score’s style and this story was another amazing one. I love Ally, she’s such a strong, independent woman who isn’t afraid to open her mouth and stand up for herself, but she isn’t without flaws. Her past made it hard to put faith and trust in others, to decide when it’s okay to ask for help and when you’re the only one who can handle something? Always difficult!
Dominic, the grumpy boss idiot, was amazing! Be still my heart! Also definitely not flawless and haunted by his past, or more his father’s, went through his own struggles, and even though it took him a while to realise what had to be done, he got there in the end!
The bonus epilogue was everything to wrap up the story so well. Them having a family that included adopted children shows very clearly that a family is more than just blood, and i loved it! Also the way Ally and Dominic are raising their children is so important, to teach them about consent. These conversations start at home and I’m so glad to see it in fiction!
Steam: 🔥🔥🔥🔥
