This series is cute af! Like my reviews of the first two books, it is not a surprise that the final book in trilogy felt VERY young. That is to be expected with a YA book though, so no fault of the author. However, this is my rating as 27-year old finishing the series for the first time! Despite its childish presence, I loved this book! It had a lot more action and tension behind it than the other two. There is a scene with Jacks that…OMG WAS INTENSE! Loved every minute of that chapter (iykyk). The plot of this book changed tremendously, and almost felt like I was not even reading a book from the Caraval series at all anymore. However, I genuinely felt excited to read every time I had a chance to pick this book back up! The ending was kind of drab, but honestly this entire trilogy is all fairytale vibes and it did not shock me that it was going to end as sweetly as it did. Again, it is VERY YA! Overall, loved the adventure this series took me on. Finale was the best book in the series by FAR, but Legendary was a very close second. Definitely keeping these books in my for my future kid.

Wow, this was the best book of the series. I couldn’t stop reading. I just loved it. I wanna keep reading about Legend and Tella and Jacks and Crimson and Julian. Seriously I want more.

2.5. This book seriously felt like it went on forever. Tella might be one of the most frustrating heroines I've read. Homegirl throws herself willingly into the worst situations and doesn't have a care of how it may affect anyone who loves her or herself. On the same note, though, Scarlet was so boring. Garber wanted their juxtaposition to be stark, but it just made it jarring at times. Also... none of these love interests are worth anyone's time. I genuinely had no clue what was going through Tella's brain at times when it came to love, or how/when her love even developed. I missed the circus-y bit of the series that was in the first two... It wasn't a terrible book, but I just didn't think it provided the intrigue from the past books.
