This book did not go where I wanted it to go at all. This was not "final book so let's conquer our demons and have a healthy relationship", but rather let's use S&M as a way to "anchor" our selves to a wanton codependent relationship. This was not erotica but induced winching when you read the steamy parts. You do not want to go hangout with your husband after reading this book, but rather take a bath and try to scrub the images out of your head.

People should not read this and see the answer to their cutting issues as finding a boyfriend that spanks them with a belt for a release. That is not healthy. This is not some kinky S&M fun this is dominance, this is pain for unhealthy reasons.

And one last thing: What about the cat?!? There is never mention that it was brought back to the Malibu house. The poor cat is left in the condo on the other side of town hoping the D-bag neighbor feeds it. Why not bring the cat back to the Malibu house?

However if J. Kenner comes out with a fourth book I will read it.

I didn’t like either of the main characters when I started the series, I don’t like them now, and it’s honestly my fault that I read three of these books.

ARC kindly provided by Netgalley and Random House Publishing Group. I love this book series. I think I love it more than Fifty Shades. Nikki is a lovable heroine. She is strong and she overcomes anything. Damien is her saving grace and helps her get over her demons of her past. The same is for Damien when it comes to Nikki. They are perfect for each other. This book shows how perfect they are for each other and how they give each other what they need to get over the hardships thrown at them in life. The situation Damien is going through at the end of the second and the beginning of this book is heartbreaking but no matter what Nikki sticks with him. I love how Nikki is not the usual over dramatic, jealous, "I am leaving you because things are to tough" kind of girl that you usually read. She knows what she wants and even though she enjoys when Damien takes control, she still can stand up and take over as well. The only thing I did not like about this book is that a certain situation happens about the last 15 pages and gets solved rather quickly and then the book ends. I wish I could read more about them after that perfect moment at the end but maybe it just that I did not want the series to end. Maybe the author will write a novella about what they are doing after. But nevertheless I loved this book just like I loved the entire series.

I was DYING to see what was going to happen to Damien in German and how that would affect Nikki. With the way CLAIM ME ended, Nikki was finally stepping up and claiming her spot beside Damien. Which made me happy, because despite Damien's dominance in the bedroom, Nikki needed to step up and prove that she was just as strong as Damien when it came to their relationship and the obstacles they were going to face. But as I read COMPLETE ME I found the storyline was less about Damien and Nikki dealing with the events in Germany and their aftermath, and more about sex.

Don't get me wrong, I love a book that has some very streamy, down and dirty sex in it. Books 1 and 2 had a lot of sex, but the sex represented the way these two damaged character communicated with each other. Damien needed to control things to try and lessen the emotional impact of what happened to him with his coach. Nikki needed it as a physical way to release all the pent up feelings that would have otherwise lead to her cutting. I got all that. But I thought the relationship between the two of them had evolved and now that everything was out on the table, they would be able to communicate with words a little bit better and not have to resort of sex for every little thing that went wrong for them. Unfortunately, for me, all the sex just seemed to take away from the story and had me screaming at them to "use your words!"

I also felt like things were still a little unresolved between some of the characters. The whole Nikki, Jamie, Ollie friendship felt off through the third book and just left hanging out there. There was kind of a resolution between Ollie and his fiance, but we never find out if Ollie knew that. Then there was the relationship between Ollie and Jamie. You know there is more there, but nothing is said. And finally, Ollie and Nikki. So much had happened between the two of them because of his jealousy over Damien, but none of it was ever resolved. Either they're friends or they're not. I needed that to be spelled out so I could know if I should like Ollie or not (because poor Ollie had issues and I think she should be his friend).

In the end, this was my least favorite of the series. Damien was such a strong character in the first two books. Despite everything that had happened to him, he had this presence that leaped off the page at you. In this installment, I didn't feel Damien the same way and I missed him and his domineering ways.

I loved this trilogy but I will admit that I skipped over some of the sex scenes as they seemed to be a bit over done for my taste. But otherwise a fantastic trilogy that I will be referring my friends to read.

Not sure how to rate this book and series. well this book had a lot of sex. The writer must have had a list of sex scenes she wanted in the book but lost the list for the first two books and decided it was worth putting them all into this book. so sex and then some more sex and then more. and every once in a while was the story. the ending is very typical angst but still a page turner. but it ended in a way that needed more. so I can see why she created novellas after it. as a series it's ok of a read but if you have issues with cutting or even thought about it don't even pick the book up. this book could trigger people into cutting. so make sure you can read the deep feelings and emotions about cutting without placing yourself in that position. plus there are issues with child abuse. And sex with the intent of pain. but if you are interested in reading the book I doubt those things will stop you. especially if you read 50 shades and liked it. the cutting adds a different spin on the 50 shades knock off bit. But I want to say the best part of this series is how mature the couple is. Both Nikki and Damien had plenty of opportunities to be immature and not communicate their feelings in a way that would cause problems or drama. this author took a different approach to the billionaire and chick relationship. I found this quality part of why I really liked reading this. it was a refreshing characteristic. and the forgiving that takes place makes sense. not blind love. but meaningful love. I am actually curious to read other stuff from this author just for this reason. and I will be reading any novella I can get my hands on the deals with this series.

Woooow so much drama in this one. A good conclusion to the series though!
