I went in knowing absolutely nothing about the series other than that it is massively popular and seemingly never-ending. It was good fun, and wordy in a good way

I've read a couple of graphic novels but not really read Manga and I'm not sure whether it was just this story I struggled with or rather that manga is perhaps just not for me.
Luffy is annoying as hell but he slowly grew on me as well as some of the other characters did too and I find myself caring where the story will actually go.
However, I'm not sure if I will continue. But I do think I'd struggle with the style of manga as I found the facial expressions to be quite aggressive?? Not sure if that's the right description. And unserious. Maybe that's me being clueless about manga but connecting with the story was a bit harder for me.

OPLA was so much fun, I had to check out the manga (which I'd been meaning to read for like 15 years).
