This book made me wish I wasn't literate.

The writing between the two characters seemed super unnatural, for the amount of exposition given in this book, I just don't think this was the right format to use for the entire thing. Also, it was icky.

I mean I knew this book was supposed to be a disturbing read, and it was, but also I just don’t think it was that great. The characters all spoke like authors and honestly, to me, the story didn’t seem like it made much sense, It really felt like the characters motivations ramped up to 100 out of nowhere with like no explanation other than “love”. It just wasn’t for me. It’s getting two stars for being somewhat of a page turner I guess, but as short as it is it kinda should to be.

A really good read! Kept me hooked the whole way through. A lot of people dislike it, and I see why, but I love psychological horror like this, so it was right up my alley.

An intriguing, fast-paced downward spiral with a unique format. Not as shocking as people made it seem but definitely heed the content warnings, it does get graphic!
I wouldn’t go to this book for representation by any means, but the characters’ queerness makes certain parts of the narrative much more compelling.

The only book that's ever given me a stomache. Extremely well-written with so many layers between the lines... But at what cost?

At one point I literally wanted to vomit. What a great horror book!

It's a gripping tale of a toxic relationship gone even more wrong. It could've benefited from being a bit more of a slow burn but it works great as this short novella.
