4/5
Arranged marriage with a handsome, overprotective billionaire, so of course it's a bit cliché, but I really love the character development in here.

I really love that Vivian finally drew the line and stood up for herself. It was about time. I also appreciate the fact that they didn't reconcile at the end. Just because you're related by blood doesn't mean that you will always forgive them. I mean, her dad was really an ahole and needs therapy.
And I really love that Vivian stood her ground, took things slow, and learned to trust again. I love that Dante really tried to win her back without the stupid grand gestures. It was intimate and heartfelt. I really appreciate that he was patient and respected that Vivian needed time to heal.
Finally, someone gets how it should be done.

Dante Russo. THE. MAN. YOU.ARE……
“mia cara” UGHHH i love Italian mennnn
I loved this book. It’s the perfect combo of arranged marriage, enemies to lovers, and grumpy x sunshine. I was scared at first it would be a predictable, arranged, marriage story, but I loved it nonetheless, Ana Huang has a great way of writing dominant characters, but in a way that doesn’t make them cheesy or too much. this book reminded me so much of the maid series by Danielle Lori.
Dante’s love for Vivian, sneaking up on him in a way that he didn’t expect and as a reader, we get to see that through the book I loved reading about him falling more and more in love with her. I also loved how Vivian questioned their love as well. It made it seem more realistic. I feel like sometimes those women be questioned whether or not a guy likes us as much as we like them.
As much as Vivian tried to guard herself, she was also falling in love with Dante, and I feel like as a woman we can relate to her in that way.
I feel like some people might think that this trope is predictable and I can agree to a certain extent, especially towards the end when I knew that Vivian would find out the truth and everything would blow up and they would make their way to each other, but I think the way that and Huong does it still had me all giddy and cheesy kicking my feet while reading this.
The banter is unmatched between the both of them. I really did love Dante‘s character and his temper lol. I’m not sure if I’m gonna be the rest of the series. I always feel like when a book is this good and it’s the first in the series. The others don’t compare, but I loved it and there was nothing about this book that I had any complaints about except for Vivian’s father, who i HATE. And I wish she would’ve stood for herself sooner, but other than that, the tension, the intensity, the banter between Dante and Vivian kept me wanting more. I know some people might not like this book but for me it was a five out of five.
