Je n’ai pas aimé ce livre, et j’ai plusieurs fois eu envie de l’abandonner. Sur le papier, il semblait prometteur : une romance avec un mariage arrangé et des milliardaires.
La plume de l’autrice ne m’a pas accrochée, l’intrigue s’essouffle très vite, et les personnages sont franchement décevants. Dante est une caricature de bad boy possessif, et Vivian est bien trop molle.
Les personnages secondaires ne relèvent pas le niveau non plus, notamment les familles des deux protagonistes, qui manquent elles aussi de relief et d’intérêt. Aucun lien fort, aucune dynamique marquante.
Pour ne rien arranger, le livre est rempli de scènes explicites, longues et répétitives, ce qui alourdit une lecture déjà peu enthousiasmante.
Bref, une lecture creuse, avec une intrigue fade, des personnages peu attachants, et une romance qui ne m’a pas du tout fait vibrer.

a marriage of convenience that I enjoyed more than I thought I would’ve. Vivian became my favorite ana fmc so quick. her thoughts her resilience and her soft strong nature instantly drew me to her. She matched dante’s energy so much and was cheering every-time she drained his bank account. I wasn’t a fan of dante in the beginning with his back handed comments and grumpy attitude but by the middle I warmed up to him easily. the groveling was amazing. The jealously confession was one of my most favorite scene in the book. The plot in the book kept me entertained that usually doesn’t happen with most of an/ books.

King of Wrath by Ana Huang is a compelling romance with strong character development, especially with the dynamic between Vivian and Dante. Vivian is an incredible female lead, a true girl boss who doesn’t just fall at Dante’s feet. She has her own successful business, standing her ground and maintaining her independence, which I loved. Her refusal to put up with Dante’s poor communication and attitude made her feel so real and strong.
Dante, on the other hand, was a bit of a challenge, but his character arc was rewarding. After the main conflict, he had to work hard to win Vivian back, which was super satisfying. Seeing him grovel and genuinely prove himself made the resolution feel fresh and well-earned. I appreciated that Vivian didn't rush back to him. They took their time and rebuilt the relationship on new terms, which felt more genuine.
The romance itself was somewhat slow burn, but it made the payoff worth it. The chemistry between Vivian and Dante developed naturally, keeping me hooked without feeling rushed.
The only reason I'm not giving this five stars is that the conflict was predictable. While it was well-executed, I was hoping for a twist or something unexpected to add more depth. Overall, though, King of Wrath is a highly satisfying read with a great balance of romance, independence, and growth.
