3 stars. i had a hard time connecting with the plot of this one. from the beginning we know what the 3 act climax will be. when we finally get to it the moment was underwhelming.

This was a nice palate cleanser. Simple and fun. I enjoyed the banter between the FMC and MMC although they were kinda stupid at times. Classic miscommunication trope. Some of the "rich people problems" used as plot lines were kinda dumb.
I liked it.
It gave me what I needed
but also Let’s not pretend it’s high art.
Her writing has always been basic— anyone can read it—but sometimes that works. It’s not trying to be deep, it’s just meant to feel good. And this one does. I liked that she focused on one plot instead of throwing in 50 tropes like she did in Twisted Love. The characters had actual growth. Vivian wasn’t amazing, but not as bland as some of her other heroines. And I learnt something from the character - you can't live your life for other people.

i enjoyed the plot and it was a nice quick read but God did Dante infuriate me. he’s not a very likeable character tbh
