The only thing I really disliked was cara mia. I feel like Ana just translated my dear without checking if in Italy it is used as a term of endearment like cara would have been better still not great but better. Every time I read mia cara it gave me the vibe of him being angry like I'm sorry but I had to read mia cara as my dear ahahaha.... Like per se is not wrong but the way she used it was just weird

I didn’t think I would enjoy this book as much as I did considering I felt like it could have been a topic that is overdone however it was not and I really enjoyed the story line.
While I did like the book, there were things that frustrated me at times and I wanted Vivian to stand up for herself in front of her parents way before she actually did. I also wouldn’t have been able to handle myself the way she did to some things so props to her lmao.
This was also the first book I have fully annotated while reading because why not and I actually enjoyed reading it more and finding things to connect to in a way.
"We'd exchanged only a handful of words, yet I already knew two things with gut certainty. One, Dante was going to be my fiancé. Two, we might kill each other before we ever made it to the altar."
“Love wasn't always about the big moments. More often, it was tucked in the small moments connecting the major ones.”
