Ok so it wasn’t bad the storyline was pretty good. What annoyed me the most was the lack of character descriptions actually there was none - other than “dark hair tan skin”. I have no idea what Vivian looks like I just know she also has dark hair. Apparently almost every character in the book has dark hair and intimidating presence (except Buffy Darlington who has greying hair due to old age)
Also I hate slow burns with all my might but this one was actually satisfactory (kinda) and even enjoyable, I’m not even sure if this is considered a slow burn but for me it sure as hell was, I almost lost my mind patiently waiting for them to get together.

It’s been awhile since I read Ana’s work but I plowed through this one pretty quickly. Like sliding on well-worn shoes, though not your favorite, just familiar. I will say I’m excited to continue the series but overall this one was pretty low stakes… and was exactly what I needed to get out of a book slump.
This was another great book from Ana! I just came from the Twisted series and was so excited when I realized she had more books. It's even better that this series isn't finished yet! I love the way she ties her whole world together. These characters had a slow burn and resisted their connection a LOT at first but it led to something great!
