Provides solid motivation on cleaning out your closet and shopping more ethically and, more importantly, offers extremely practical guidance on how to do so. Some of it is somewhat common sense (e.g. buy fewer clothes that are higher quality), but it serves as a good reminder on how unsustainable our current habits are.

Sometimes reading a book like this makes me feel a little overwhelmed, but my biggest take away is that I can do this slowly and it doesn't all have to happen now! I am going to take a few changes into account (I'm gonna try to fix my jeans) and think whenever I purchase things in the future.

This was decent and I got a good giggle about of playing this out loud in our stockroom so we were listening to this while processing a bunch of clothes by a company that was listed a few times in this book.

My two big gripes:

1. I got annoyed by how often “this will be in part 5! This is coming up in part 3! Look back to part 2!” I’m reading it. The only roadmap I need is the table of contents. Please stop telling me what’s coming or where something I already read is.

2. “Go in and talk to a store manager” PLEASE GOD NO DONT DO THIS. Do you think I have ANY leeway with corporate? Do you think they listen to me? We have to beg just to get enough hours for our associates. Corporate doesn’t care. I enjoyed every time you pointed out the company I work for and what they’ve done to the global fashion industry. Please don’t come in and talk to us. I’m just trying to work to live.

Very informative! On my road to minimalism I have been wanting to purchase a better wardrobe that’s higher quality and more sustainable. This book reinforced what I already knew and taught me so much more. May even purchase now to keep as reference, as I borrowed it from my local library.

It was all rather basic information that I already knew and it was not exciting.
