College-aged MCs + hidden identity!
Sophie starts an IG account called "Dear Wendy" where she gives relationship advice to the students at her small liberal arts college. The only person who know she does this is her roommate, as the account is anonymous.
Jo starts a similar account, called "Dear Wanda," but wants it to be more fun than serious.
But a fued begins between Dear Wendy and Dear Wanda, all while Sophie & Jo become friends in real life and bond over being aro/ace and start a campus club!

I flew through this one from basically start to finish without stopping because it was so good and I had to know what happens!
I loved loved loved the concept of the plot mixed with the hidden identity aspect. It was so so so so fun to see them fued online over something semi silly, but also see them become friends in real life.
I LOVED the aro/ace representation so much. As someone who is demi & grey (under the ace spectrum), so much of how they were feeling and their conversations were so relatable and just made me feel so seen.
Absolutely recommend this one!

i listened to this, because i've been coming to terms with being aroace lately, and i wanted some insight and to potentially feel "seen". this book gave me neither of those things. maybe i would have enjoyed it if i was in the age range (though maybe not since i am mostly a horror reader), but instead i got a huge, whopping nothingburger. the characters felt like tropes rather than characters, the pandering to younger people annoyed me (the constant taylor swift and harry styles mentions, dear lord) and the actual "plot" is just online nonsense that doesn't mean anything. i'm happy for a-spec people who might find comfort in reading this, but it just made me roll my eyes. i wish for a well-written book with aroace characters that don't feel like caricatures. also, the way the author made everyone so uwu about the lgbt community grated my nerves. i love books where lgbt people are accepted and not questioned, but it's not something that needs to be shoved down my throat every paragraph. we get it! your liberal college is accepting! wow!

This book was so sweet. I loved that it was set during the first year of college, particularly at a historically women’s college, and it was so full of queer women and genderqueer people. I loved the main characters. I loved their dynamic. I loved the cast of characters. I loved the involvement of social media. I loved hearing about how aspec people see the world and romance. I loved how central friendship was to the story. Most of my important relationships are friendships, so seeing it honored so lovingly in this book.
