The book that made me realize I didn’t outgrow young adult. I absolutely loved it. I wish I could have gone to their college, it seemed such a nice experience. Womanhood, girl friendship,  asexuality and aromantism and more generally identity questionning. It’s a book I recommand to everyone.

A fun read, love all the Wellesley College insider references! This author is 20 years younger than I, the discussion of queer culture has changed a lot in that time and. This was a helpful and interesting description of students who are aro ace, terms that were not part of the discourse in the early 2000s. I loved the characters, and found it touching and sweet. Yes to Boston Marriages, a shift in how we think of partnerships and ourselves, and all that makes historically women’s colleges still relevant!

solid book. i appreciated the nuanced discussion of aroace identities that i feel is lacking in queer media. i think the dual pov format helped to accurately portray a broad range of experiences without feeling too much like an infodump. unfortunately, as much as i enjoyed getting to know the characters, the writing itself felt bland and awkward, and i do not think the plot was as well-developed as it could have been.

this was such a fun and heartwarming read! I absolutely loved Sophie and Jo's friendship, and this book was fantastically queer across almost the entire cast of characters <3

So rare to find stories with ace main characters! This was really sweet and wholesome, and a beautiful addition to platonic love stories in fiction that we definitely need more of <3.

I read Dear Wendy on Libby and now I definitely want to purchase a copy as I can already tell it will be a comfort read for years to come. It's a lighthearted story of two aroace friends finding one another. I Iove this story for its portrayal of a safe space not only for queer people, but for queer people of color to feel safe as well. Oftentimes it's difficult to find happy, hopeful stories for qtpoc  and I'm grateful to Ann Zhao for writing and sharing Dear Wendy.
