Liked how aro/ace representation was handled; while did take issue with things being wrapped up in a bow by the end.

i constantly found myself moved to react to this book out loud—real laughter and surprise and suspense and delight that needed to be physically expressed. ann you're my hero.
also i am technically thanked in the acknowledgements of this book (not by name but i am counting it) and i will be bragging about that for a while now because basically that makes me famous.
this book is so fucking awesome and i'm glad it exists.

It was such an awesome read, I loved reading a story about aspec people who are already sure about their identity.
||I was honestly glad the writer didn't take the conflict between the two characters too seriously bc it truly wasn't that serious, even tho it felt like that for the characters.||
The only problem I had was that Ann Zhao tended to shorten conversations that had already happened. So it was quite a bit of 'after x explained y to z...' . Which kind of annoyed me once I started noticing it.
But regardless I fell in love with these characters as soon as I met them and I love their story so much.

this was sooo good. the representation holy moly we love to see it!!! this was just so cute like i love platonic love stories. sophie and jo remind me of georgia and rooney from loveless (which was mentioned in this haha). like friendships are so beautiful and just as important and fulfilling as romantic relationships. i mean especially if you’re aroace. i’m ace so can partly relate to this. and so many other issues were touched on too. i just love reading lgbtqia+ books. they’re so much better
