(2015 Review) What a book... What a SERIES. That ending is brutal and the wait was excruciating for the eighth book. If you haven't got the hint already, you need to read this series. Right now.

I didn’t enjoy this as much as the last ones. I don’t know if that’s because this is my first book post-Alfred or if it’s because of work it’s taken me like an entire month to read this one but the vibes weren’t as good.
- ‘Truly. They have a supreme wizard in Rome,' I explained, 'a man called the pope, and he said Christians aren't permitted to eat horse.'
- 'For some reason,' he said, 'I believe you. Maybe I'm getting old and

A solid read that I enjoyed, I felt that the first and last sections were interesting enough, but felt like it flagged slightly in the middle. I definitely feel like the third and fourth seasons of the TV show did a good job of adapting the plot line into something slightly easier to follow. I’m looking forward to starting the next book in the series as this one ended on a cliffhanger.
