Ten and Rose, perfectly portrayed with monsters and aliens and the seaside in Wales. Definitely look this one up :)

This new series of books is obviously aimed at a younger audience, but this one was pretty good for adults too. One of the better ones, in fact. It reads like a traditional tale from the Hinchcliffe era, but at the same time, retains some of the vibe of the new series.

The premises of the story was very interesting. Nevertheless I give it a 4 stars because the ending made me go pretty much "Huh?!?"

With Doctor Who, one gets used to all sorts of fantastical adventures but, in this novel, the ending was a wee bit too fantastical. So much so that it was anticlimactic and really not what I would expect from a Doctor Who story.

Cool concept but parts of the story were a little confusing and hard to follow.

This didn't feel like the 10th doctor. It would have worked better as a 9th doctor book, really. Overall, just fair.

Another fantastic Doctor Who adventure with the 10th Doctor and Rose. With the addition of some creepy nightmarish monsters on an otherwise picturesque sleepy village of Black Island...

Great little plot and story and something worthy of the screen. I can just imagine this one going out on the bbc on a Saturday night, and definitely kept you on the edge of your seat. Plenty of drama, action and suspense and filled you with uncertainty for just how the Doctor and Rose would get themselves out of this one! Enjoyable little read.

There weren't as many Ten/Rose moments in this book as The Stone Rose. Nevertheless, it had a creepy atmosphere with an island filled with nightmares, literally.
