This super short novella had such a spooky and macabre feeling to it. The imagery allowed me to have such a good visual in my mind. Asher lost her sister a year ago to a cult. She was murdered as a sacrifice and ever since Asher has been set on getting her revenge. Attending an outdoor party she ends up getting knocked out and dragged into the forest only to be in a similar situation to her sister. Though this time she has enlisted the help of a demon. This was a quick read but it felt well rounded. I loved the story. I would say that it was missing more of the backstory. I would have loved it even more if we got to know more about the demon and his deal with Asher.
How can you go wrong with dark romance, revenge, cults, and demon deals? This was a fun novella to read.

Loved how this book takes no time getting into the action and spice. I needed a quick read and this was perfect. With it being such a short story, you won't be getting any major character or plot development. But I did like the structure of the writing, with things kicking off right at the beginning and us getting the scene of the characters meeting at the end. I thought that was a clever way to make a short story interesting. 3/5 stars for decent-ish spice.

Also the story really makes sense once Asher tells Enrys that she's autistic. Asher was really used to the routine of her life with her sister and she isn't able to handle the quiet even after a year.
The author promises smut and violence and she delivers. It's a quick easy read that has some incredible spicy lines and scenes. It's a little gruesome but considering it's about a monster and sacrifices and murder, that shouldn't surprise anyone. I read it in one sitting and enjoyed it.
Loved it and have no complaints over what I read. Wish it had a full length novel but it was amazing for how short it was!
