Admittedly I wasn’t a huge fan of The Thursday Murder club - I think I rated it 3/5. It was ok, but the story didn’t blow me away HOWEVER, after reading this book I have fallen in love with Elizabeth, Joyce, Ron and Ibrahim.

I feel the characters really come to life in this book and I was hooked!

I enjoyed this second Thursday Murder Club series book, but I thought it was a little slow to get going. In fact it was a struggle for me for the first third of the book. All of the gang are still there and they are all so enjoyable to read so it made the slow start still worthy of a read. And once it picked up it really got going.

This series is charming and full of heart. The plot technically doesn't even matter as it's mostly about the characters but nonetheless this go round The Thursday Murder Club investigates a couple of murders and some missing diamonds.

I love the wit and wry humor that makes up these books, and certainly recommend them to anyone looking for a palate cleanser or a nice change of pace.
