This book unsettled a part of my being that reside deep within my core. I would find myself thinking over the deep and real weight this books held. I was so deeply engorged in this book that it felt part of my reality. The writing is stunningly beautiful and this author created network of characters and plot that felt different from anything I’ve ever read. It’s raw and real, and deeply moving.

Honestly felt very similar in tone to We Need to Talk About Kevin - except without the racist undertones that book had.
