This books is well written and was a fast read. There were parts about the realities of motherhood that were so accurate I chuckled. However, I can recommend this if you aren’t a mother (I don’t know how interesting it would be) or if you are a mother (because it’s so dark.

I really wanted to keep reading once I finished it was so easy to read and fall into the lives of the characters. Was very intense in moments and reminded me a lot of other stories I’ve read such as Baby Teeth, or story telling similar to Gillian Flynn’s books.

Struggling with how to rate this. It’s SO good but it’s also so complex and deep that it almost feels wrong to rate it so highly. One of the best books I’ve read at conveying complex feelings. I couldn’t help but take on the hurt of the main character.

There is not one character in this entire book with redeeming qualities except for maybe the mother in law. This book was horrible and intense, but it was well written. My heart broke for everyone involved. Being a mother myself, it hit all the wrong notes. Many parts were intriguing but I kept yelling “GO TO A THERAPIST.”
