Di awal cerita merasa takjub dan kagum sama sosok Keiko yg berusaha keras untuk jadi "manusia normal" dengan bekerja di minimarket, terus di pertengahan cerita, marah-marah nggak jelas karena sosok Shiraha yg dah males-malesan, suka nge-judge seenak jidat pula, terus memasuki bagian akhir, aku sedikit terharu sama tekat Keiko yg menyebutnya bagian dari minimarket meskipun dia dianggap "abnormal" sama orang-orang di sekitarnya.

What a quirky strange little book... anyone else feel that when reading it?
It was dreadfully disturbing at times i must say... like that side of whimsicality that is dark? But for the majority of the time, it was splendid!

This little novel follows for a short period of time the life of a 36 year old Japanese woman who works at a convenient store, and who simply cannot believe anything more of herself than who she as a worker. Her line of reference is directed constantly at the convenient store.

Who knew such a novella could be funny, sad, dark yet compelling all at the same time?

Deserves all the clout its been getting for sure ;)
