Brilliant, nimble book. Stands up fighting, as it certainly packs a punch. I enjoyed being in the MC's head and was smiling like a lunatic at the very end. Excellent as an audiobook.

Such a strange and funny quick read.

The main character is so much fun to read, like, how she thinks is both fascinating and strange, BUT I GET IT. I mean, that's just what humans are like, weird living things. She's the only character that I like while reading, she left me both stunned and amazed, I truly admire her!

The book was good, the main character has autism. I didn’t like the marketing, claiming the book is quirky and funny is ableist considering the amount of discrimination the character experiences for being disabled

Great audiobook listen that I blitzed through on a road-trip (Yeay for Libby/OverDrive app!). The ending was slightly anti-climatic for a book that I perceived as a bit tense throughout, but it was an entertaining, oddly numinous time nonetheless.

Perfect read for: The aromantic Extra-Terrestrial who just crash-landed in Japan

UPDATE: I read Sayaka Murata’s essay “Love Letter to a Convenience Store” that is included in the US Print edition (Orig. published on Lit Hub), and if I could make a singular 5⭐️ review  just for that piece, I would!! Man, I loved it!!
