A down to earth look at discovering who you are amidst the noise of the world.
I just finished reading Troublemaker a Biography book written by Leah Remini. I read the AudioBook published by Random House Audio. I borrowed this book from a library. I listened to this book on Libby. It is a stand alone book.
This book is a must read if you like: Biographies, self help, positive growth, and motivational books
"What I have slowly come to realize, and often still have to remind myself of, is this: there is no right way to be. I am flawed and imperfect but am uniquely me. I don't fit in and probably never will and I don't have to try to anymore. That other person was a lie and let's face it normal is boring. we all have something to offer the world in some way. But by not being our authentic selves we are robbing the world of something different, something special."
This biography starts in her childhood and grows with her through her healing process as she grows away from the church of her childhood.
I was expecting a very angry book, which this was not at all. Remini clearly describes her experiences in a passionate yet thoughtful way.
I loved the growth mindset of this book. It was a really uplifing read for me.
I haven't read many bios of people who escaped from cults, but I loved her strong stance on speaking for herself and others.
I loved the ending and how she discussed her healing process. This is extremely uplifting and enlightening.
I love Leah Remini's voice. And hearing these things in her own words was fantastic.
I devoured this book in one day and walked away feeling so uplifted and empowered. I had really high hopes for this book and it blew them out of the water.
Content Warnings: Cult abuse, adult language, some mild Sexual content.

I listened to this as an audiobook in Leah’s voice. Wow!!! I have followed her career since SBTB and watched her show about Scientology. This was so riveting and being in her voice made it so much more. It was her inflection and feelings. I love how real and open she is in everything!
Amazing inside look into scientology. Loved Remini's writing and having it read by her.
