This was an eye-opening read about what's happening behind the scenes within the church of Scientology. I learned so much. Thank you to the author for being vulnerable and sharing this truth with all of us.

I mean, everyone knows what a psycho Miscavige is. His niece and dad already told the whole world. Not sure when Leah's book came out in the midst of those, this could have been before them but I can't be bothered to look up the dates right now.

It was interesting to see a famous person's perspective of the church, and holy shit, does it surprise anyone that Tom Cruise is the way he is?

It's not the best I've ever read in terms of writing, but it felt conversational and I liked that. For a book like this, I think it needs to feel that way. I also appreciated Leah's brutal honesty at the very beginning of the book and how she laid out her family's secrets, knowing that the "church" would drag them out for her if she did not disclose that info first.

Not a bad way to spend a couple hours, but if you want a more detailed book about the practices and tools of Scientology, you're better off reading Jenna Miscavige-Hill's book.

Wow

There were some chapters that were so dull and detail-laden that they deserve one star or less. Then there were chapters, whether packed with Hollywood gossip or just good insight into life, that deserve more than a 5. The last two chapters are 5s. So the book gets a 4.

Such a great read!!

Holy crap. There is some crazy stuff in this book. I recommend watching the documentary "Going Clear" first to get some of the terminology in your head. Horror story after horror story. Truly.

It was fine! The tone was light, considering, but it's all so grim. Justice for Nicole Kidman and Katie Holmes!

I devoured this book. I couldn’t stop reading it. I couldn’t wait to get home and read more of this book after work. Leah really opens herself up in the book and lets it all out. Some of the information she gives about the “church” I had known, but other things I had no idea. I had no idea how much money you have to spend just to be in this church. It is out of control. The more I read the more I was shocked. I have to say that I am completely thankful for Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes’s wedding, because without that wedding Leah may have never gotten away from this cult. This book is well worth the read.

I read this in a day. I couldn’t put it down.
I’ve had a weird fascination with Scientology ever since I heard that Tom Cruise was a member. I’ve watched the documentaries which are bonkers but this book was really juicy in a way I think the documentaries couldn’t be.
