Good overview of the album with some great comments by musicians. There were a few factual errors such as about which guitar he played and Bert Jansch's name was misspelt throughout. I didn't like how much the author went on about the TV commercial and felt that bit could have been considerably shorter.

Like others here, I thought the author spent way too much time dwelling on the VW ad campaign.

I love this little series of books. This is a good one! Pink Moon is a moody, impressionistic, quiet piece of art and this book shows you its impact on other musicians and the world. That's what these books do: destruct a beloved album. This isn't supposed to be a biography of Nick Drake.

Very good until the long chapter on how great advertising is, like a big turd on your muesli

it took the author 6 pages to mention her Ivy League school and melancholy attachment to nick drake, who she doesnt listen to much anymore, and 1/3 of the of the book is about advertising and why bands would or wouldn't license to it. not really much about Pink Moon at all. well-written but frequently completely off topic with very little substance.
