This woman couldn't write a bad book if she tried. This is my favourite series ever.

I immensely enjoyed this book! It is so fun! The magic system is phenomenal and unlike anything else I've read before. I love the world-building and I love how many characters have now been introduced! I normally don't really like multiple POVs but I really enjoy it here; it truly makes it an immersive experience, especially because we learn more about the enemy that has been so elusive thus far.

Omg sounds like I’m repeating myself but I loved this book even more than the last. So far this one is my favourite of the series. I loved the self doubt and challenges and growth that both Ellie and Rain go through in their respective role.
I also loved the amount of adventure and action.
I love Stelli ugh she’s my fav!
And Kieran and Bel and Gaelin.
And this absolute beast of a cliff hanger?!
Cannot wait to get started on the next one!

I am loving this series. In this book specifically, Steli steals the show. She is adorable and hilarious, my favorite moment of the book is her "knocking". In any case, this book is maybe a bit drawn out in the middle with everyone researching or training for many pages, but overall I am so invested.

Although there probably isn't a lot more "action" in [b:King of Sword and Sky|3307144|King of Sword and Sky (Tairen Soul, #3)|C.L. Wilson|https://images.gr-assets.com/books/1435044738s/3307144.jpg|3344324] than the earlier books, it felt more like a fantasy novel and less like a romance.
War is looming, and I enjoyed the politics of the Fading Lands and the reactions/denial of the Fae. I also like the hints of the politics of Eld, I hope we will read more in future books.
Ellie is becoming stronger and more confident and is becoming a much more interesting character for it.
I also love the Tairen - especially Steli-chakai. Of all the characters in the series, the Tairen are the characters that [a:C.L. Wilson|1310735|C.L. Wilson|https://images.gr-assets.com/authors/1249006911p2/1310735.jpg] has really brought alive for me.
