I was neither over or under whelmed by this. It was just okay.

However I was surprised by the twist ending as I genuinely thought that

the dad was going to come back and attempt to kill his children

up until the end when I thought it was going to be

Lucas

. So it got me good there!

I struggled to connect with Beth, despite also being an eldest sister yet I really liked Nicole and was really hoping she'd push through her addictions.

Overall, it was okay. I didn't enjoy the writing much but I was surprised by the twist!

I like being inside the characters’ heads, it helps immerse me in their world. This is probably why I didn’t catch the twist!

I gave it 3.75 rather than 4 stars because the ending was meh, but I think that about most books for some reason. I have not come across a twist ending yet that has really blown me away. I like Jeneva Rose’s writing style however and am looking forward to reading more of her work!
