Micheal is a fucking bitch.

I love when a story takes a cliche and builds it into something unique. It’s a premise we’ve all seen before-estranged siblings come together after their mother’s death-but with dark twists and exciting turns. I didn’t feel that the multiple perspectives was necessary but it did at least give interesting glimpses into each of the characters lives that we may not have gotten otherwise.

Wasn't vibing

would have been a five but i guessed the killer

“WOO, that’ll do it! You don’t have to worry about meee, you do not have to worry about me!”

I’m SO DONE. I promise, this is the last Jeneva Rose will ever see of me. I am truly astonished at how long this book was for NOTHING to have happened the entire time. By the time it finally got to the “twist,” I didn’t even care anymore. I just needed it to end. I don’t even have the energy to break this book down because I really just need to be done with it but just know that the 1-2 reviews are all spot on.

A griping tale of family’s lies and truths and what one would do to help a loved one out. Multiple point of views and duel timelines. May contain addiction triggers as Nicole deals with addiction recovery while dealing with grief and life stresses. A few time she mentioned how using would make the situation easier for her but she doesn’t ever relapse.

So many great quotable quotes about life.

And my favorite part is the pictures at the end because this story takes place in Jeneva’s home town.

 Audiobook
Three estranged siblings, Beth, Nicole, and Michael, are brought together to grieve the death of their mother. Animosity over life choices and secrets from their past cause friction between the family as they begin to process the estate and clues their mother left behind about their father's disappearance.

Home is Where the Bodies are, fast-paced and keeps you guessing. I appreciated having different narrators to help differentiate between the siblings' chapters. This was my first book by Jeneva Rose, and I will be sure to check out more of her catalog.
