A decent continuation of the LiS comic series, but without the charm of the first graphic novel or original game. This second volume has strayed a bit from what drew me to this series in the first place, and imo, would have done better to expand on the complexity of relationships between existing characters before adding new ones in the mix. Waves fails in nearly as many places that Dust succeeded.

It was interesting to read about a timeline where Rachel and Chloe are both alive. Tristan is also an interesting addition. Definitely less story progression.

You have entered the twilight zone. Everything from here on in will leave your mind perplexed and your heart aching.

Second volume done! I intend to read the entire series before New Years and I'm pretty sure I can make it (I just need to get vol.3 since I only own the first issue of "Strings")
I'm honestly really enjoying this, I was sad that Max and Rachel never got to meet and it's nice to see them in action, even if it's a different reality.
Didn't care much about Tristan, I gotta be honest, I I think he could be an interesting character to follow... We'll see

We got Amberprice instead of Pricefield on this volume but honestly? They are really cute, I love them together. I used to ship Chloe only with Max but after replaying Before the Storm last October... Damn, I just want Chloe to be happy (with whoever makes her happy in that dimension).
Also, speaking of Chloe: it's pretty nice to see a version of Chloe who still has Joyce in her life even though she left Arcadia Bay. I'm glad to know that they are on speaking terms at least, and that they have each other.

Can't wait to see where it goes!

"After five years you're still Max Caulfield" perfectly describes this volume. Max always second guesses her decisions, and this one is no different. I like the exploration of the trauma and guilt that Max has to go through because she's living a life she feels like she doesn't deserve.
