Cute little novella. Curious how the storyline is going to continue with Jo Marie.

The narrator of this hour-long audio version, Lorelei King, did a great job, but the book was not for me. I haven't read a Debbie Macomber in decades. Her style seems to have changed little in this time. This is not a bad thing but I know my reading tastes have changed.

What I found confusing about this book is that I don't understand the point of it. It's book 1.5 in the series. I've only read the blurbs to books 1 & 2 and this storyline seems to have a natural fit in either of the other books, especially book 2. As a stand alone it seems to add nothing.

So, why did I listen to it? Well, it's from the library and their romance audio book section is poor.

I found this short story as a free audiobook and listened to it while knitting, just like Random House suggested. Ha ha! It was a cute story about a dog who might actually be Cupid on the inside. I guess the story is set between books 1 and 2 in a series. I probably won't read anymore but it's good for a rainy morning.

Also, I am keeping this edition checked on Goodreads because it has an actual cover for the book, unlike the audio edition that is listed which is just a picture of a brown clip art book with the title. I don't like when they have that since I enjoy judging books by their covers.
