I didn't really like this. There were just too many POVs, and they all sounded too similar (even the POV of the ship and the one of the three-year-old boy). It was hard sometimes to figure out who was telling the story at different points, and having to figure that out took me out of the story, and made it hard for me to connect. The overall tone felt very young, too.
