So this book is cute and fine but like very cheesy. The writing is good. I think Emma Straub’s books are maybe not for me. I didn’t really love All Adults Here either. If you liked that, I imagine you’d like this. Bonus points for time travel.

Not my favorite Emma Straub, but if you like a time traveling troupe then this is for you!

I ended up finding this very moving. Huge sucker for an involved, sweet dad story, and although I'm sure time travel can be tricky with pacing, I thought this was executed well.

It captured New York effectively, and how getting what you think you want is a questionable endeavor.

Amusing to read while watching Being Erica - lotta time travel in my life these days!

a reminder to appreciate what's in front of you while it's there. a tender and honest author's note at the end as well. i've always been fascinated with time travel and for me, this was a perfect blend of sci-fi and literary fiction.

What the time-travel plot lacks in imagination and novelty is more than compensated by the overall execution. Very entertaining, sharply written and quietly moving.
