Arthur is the first of the Brownstones, a family of adventurers and collectors of artefacts. After a giant black wolf puts out the fire that prevents his town from freezing, Arthur must find Thor to save it.
A retelling of Norse mythology with beautiful illustrations!

The illustrations and colors in here are EVERYTHING! I adore this book visually, and the story is very fun! If I had read this as a kid it would have sat on my favorite shelf next to Narnia and other magical stories.

This book is very cute, clever, and the art is amazing. I really think this would be an engaging book especially with some Norse lore thrown in! ~Ashley

I love everything about this book. The story, the art, even the end pages. Everything is fantastic. A great way to introduce children to nordic fairytales.

The CLPE unit, if you extend some teaching sessions, is excellent. The children love this book every time.

Gorgeous book about a small, strange boy who took on an improbably quest to save his little town in Iceland. Just incredible illustrations, I'm completely in love with the style and the attention to detail and the cuteness that's a bit reminiscent of Nimona. Read this now or Loki will birth monster wolves all over you.
