I waited too long since I read book 1, and forgot quite a few details, so I missed out a bit. It was a quick read & I enjoyed it. I just needed to read it closer to the time I read book 2.

I enjoyed the first book, The Beach House, more than this one. In this one, Dixie’s son, William, returns and there is some issues they need to work through. Julie’s daughter also enters the picture with her new fiancé, whose Julie knows from the start is not the right guy for her daughter. It was a short 4 hour audiobook that kept my attention, but I don’t plan to read the next one in the series.
